Courtside Port Melbourne, developed for Hoop City, is a premier basketball and training facility designed to deliver a high-performance environment for athletes and an engaging destination for the wider community.

The venue brings together elite training courts, retail and hospitality offerings, and dedicated spaces for player development, content creation, and events.

Regularly visited by professional athletes including NBA, WNBA, NBL, and WNBL players, Courtside has established itself as a vibrant hub for basketball culture, fostering both grassroots participation and elite performance.

Comprehensive Audio Visual (AV), Security, and ICT design services were delivered for the facility, supporting its vision as a high-performance and media-rich environment.

In close collaboration with Hoop City, I Am Digital, and professional athletes including Josh Giddey and Dyson Daniels, the AV requirements were carefully defined to align with both elite training and community engagement needs.

The design included a distributed PA/BGM system across the basketball courts and retail areas, LED walls and digital signage throughout the venue, and specialised spaces such as the Players Room,

Players and Coaches Auditorium, and Podcast Room.

The result is a fully integrated, technology-enabled environment that enhances the athlete experience, supports events and content creation, and delivers a seamless, high-quality user experience across the entire facility.
